A new world order Dec. 2, 2025

It’s an election to remember, much like the one that took place twelve years ago, only this one may be more significant as one generation surrenders the reins of power to the next, and we have to accept it, regardless of how ill-equipped we believe the new generation is.

Until this point, our generation managed to control the levers of power, or even as that faded, were influential in deciding who would. But we are at the end of an era, a time when our influence hasn’t merely faded, but has evaporated, and we must accept that the next group will operate the world without our being able to have a say in the matter.

We may not have seen such a change as this for more than a century, in my great great grandfather’s time when the last of the dutch and English influence made way for the arrival of new immigrants from such places as Italy, Germany and elsewhere, and the world was carved up to fit their needs, as the Dutch and others slowly faded away into dust.

For me, personally, this is not a great hardship since I never had political power, and yet there is a personal element, the loss of a belief system that has dominated my life and the life of my friends, some of whom are better equipped to welcome the current change that I am – and I feel alienated in a way that few in the previous generation has, since for the most part as a babyboomer my values are largely the same as those believed by my parents and grandparents, and the extremist philosophy that has become mainstream today was on the fringe when I grew up. We all, of course, hated Richard Nixon (I still don’t know why) and supported Democrat, who were undermining us the whole time. We were anti war, anti nuke and later, pro green, when for the most part we were being manipulated by special interests behind the scenes, those interests interrupted by not derailed by the Trump elections and which will resume when Trump is gone, to whatever illogical end that will take us.

The fact that we no longer have a say in the matter is more disturbing than the delusions being spouted, the anti-jew, anti-white, anti-capitalism rhetoric that the new generation has adopted, having been thoroughly indoctrinated by questionable educators. This promises to destroy the brain power of future generations, since it will be these deluded people who will be teaching their kids to be deluded in the same way.

This may be short-sighted on my part since generations tend to rebel against the one before, and yet without facts, with a corrupted educational system, whatever rebellion that transpires against the current generation will be equally ignorant as those they rebel against.

The change in the world is one none of us foresaw, partly because we were blinded by the foolish notion that what we did and what we believed permanently shaped the world, when in reality, this new generation is also a product of our ignorance, our setting up unrealistic expectations for them, and when they could not get what we have, or realize unattainable dreams, they became angry and adopted a philosophy so alien to us, they changed what we changed into something we never expected or wanted or can ever change back.

We created this Frankenstein monster and will pass away before we know exactly what the world will look like once the monster gets a firm grip on power.

Most of us will have passed on, and yet, knowing what we wanted or believe is no longer valid.
